Protocols
During these challenging times brought about by the Coronavirus (Covid 19), the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church family is working hard to stop the spread of Coronavirus and keep our members and visitors safe while at the same time, keep us connected. Worship services will continue to be available for viewing on LiveStream, YouTube, and Facebook Live. It is strongly advised that members consider enjoying our online church service from the comfort and safety of their own home if they are at risk of the following:
- Diabetes, Heart Disease, Lung Disease, Cancer, Sickle Cell Disease, Kidney Disease OR living with someone at risk
- Have a compromised immune system
- Showing signs of respiratory illness
- Currently have a fever above 99.6
- Sick
- Have been around anyone who has been sick
- Over the age of 65
- Pregnant
Antioch will implement the following requirements for all church services:
- A mask must be worn during the entire service for anyone 3 years of age or older.
- All members are asked to maintain the CDC 6ft social distancing guidelines
- The worship service will be reduced to one hour.
- All sanctuary doors will be open for touchless entry prior to the start of service. Once service starts, some of the sanctuary doors may close for video or audio purposes.
- There will be no bulletins. Please refer to the website for church information.
- All seats in the sanctuary will not be available for seating. There will instructions in the sanctuary to instruct you on which rows can be occupied based on your service time. Although families from the same household may sit next to each other, we are asking that each family keep 2 seats between them and the next family in order to practice the physical distancing guidelines of the CDC.
- We will not have a mass choir. The Praise Team will continue to sing songs of praise.
- Offering baskets will not be passed. We are requesting all to be a part of the walking offering during Tithes & Offering periods
- Offering envelopes and communion elements, when needed, will be available on tables near the sanctuary doors prior to entry.
- Parents are asked to accompany their children to the restrooms.
- In an effort to keep Safety First, there will be no immersion baptism. Instead, information will be gathered, arrangements will be made for a sprinkling baptism, and the immersion baptism will occur once it is safe to do so.
- There will be no altar call until it is safe to do so.
- There will be no sales of tapes after service. All services will continue to be streamed.
- Maximum room occupancy limits will be posted for adherence.
- Church offices will be open Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Social distancing guidelines apply.
- Water faucets will not be available.
- Restrooms will be available. Hands must be washed before exiting. All must practice social distancing while in the restrooms.
- Prayer Meeting & Bible Study will continue via Zoom and Conference Call until further notice.
